Goal
The Contra Costa County Conservation and Development Department, with substantial assistance of many partner agencies, has developed a comprehensive trail map documenting existing and planned hiking, bicycling and equestrian trails in eastern Contra Costa County. The map produced during this collaborative effort represents the best available information on trail facilities in eastern Contra Costa County. Board of Supervisors adoption is scheduled for the summer of 2009. Subsequent to this adoption, the County will update the General Plan to reflect this information. In addition, staff will distribute the final trail plan maps to the agencies that participated in this effort so they may update their planning documents as they see fit.
