The Special Accounting Division is responsible for:
- Assisting in preparing the budget documents for the county and Board of Supervisors' governed special districts
- Monitoring expenditures throughout the year for budget compliance
- Assisting in the Tax and Revenue Anticipation Notes (TRAN) borrowing program
- Preparing the countywide Cost Allocation Plan
- Administering bond payments
- Preparing the State Controller and Local Government Fiscal Affairs Reports
- Coordinating countywide SB 90 claiming activities
- Performing public safety accounting and reporting for Proposition 172 and Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Funds
