The Contra Costa Watershed Forum (CCWF) is a group of regulators, organizations, community volunteer groups, and private citizens who work together to ensure that community water resources are healthy. The CCWF operates under the premise that watersheds are interrelated, and actions to protect and improve them require broad stakeholder participation.

The Contra Costa Resource Conservation District (CCRCD) is a non-regulatory agency in Contra Costa County whose mission is to partner with land managers and community members to implement voluntary and cooperative conservation programs that promote the sustainable and productive use of natural resources.

the Watershed Project
The Watershed Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting understanding of the natural resources of the San Francisco Bay area, and inspiring community involvement to protect them.  They organize many watershed groups and run educational workshops.
