Bulky Item Pick-up & Disposal Voucher Programs 

Provide residents in the Mitigation Fee Primary Funding Area, who prove eligibility consistent with City/County procedures, with the option of choosing to:

 

Lots of Crops Community Garden Program

CURME's “Lots of Crops” Community Garden Program utilizes temporarily donated vacant lots in a constructive manner. The program is designed to accomplish the following goals which include; deterring illegal dumping, and eliminating blight on empty lots, in order to beautify and green the community.

 

Renovation of 3rd St. Ball field/Little League Program

The North Richmond Green Little League Program was organized to keep the ball field in excellent condition in order to serve the community. The teams are sponsored by mitigation funding and therefore the North Richmond Green logo can be seen on mitigation funded uniforms as well as banners displayed at games and related events. Team jerseys, hats, pants, and the banners were all purchase with mitigation fees. In exchange for sponsorship and free registration to play, the youth participants learn about the environment and are responsible to participate in beautification/cleanup activities during and after the season in their jerseys.

North Richmond Green Youth Twilight Basketball League Program

The North Richmond Green Youth Twilight Basketball League Program is sponsored through the Mitigation-Funded North Richmond Green Community Services Programs, to help spread the word about ongoing efforts to beautify and clean up the environment for the North Richmond Community. In exchange for sponsorship and FREE registration, the players must live in North Richmond and commit to participating in beautification/cleanup activities while wearing their jerseys (during and after the season) to improve the environment in North Richmond.

North Richmond Green Adult Softball Program

The North Richmond Green OG’s team was sponsored by mitigation funding in 2008. The team is sponsored through North Richmond Green, which is why the logo is displayed on patches on players’ uniforms as well as on banners at games and related events. In exchange for sponsorship and free registration to play, the adult participants learn about the environment and are responsible to participate in beautification/cleanup activities during and after the season in their jerseys.
