
Bay-Friendly
landscaping and gardening a holistic
approach to gardening and landscaping that works in harmony with the natural
conditions of the San Francisco Bay Watershed. Bay-Friendly is based on 7
principles and practices that foster soil health, conserve water and other
valuable resources while reducing waste and preventing pollution. The
Bay-Friendly program provides the below Guidelines as well as other
tools & resources – for home gardeners, landscape professionals, and
public agencies – to make informed decisions about sustainable landscaping in
their communities. There may also be a Bay
Friendly Gardening Workshop coming to a location near you.
