New County Ordinance Effective July 8, 2004
The Contra Costa County Board or Supervisors adopted a new Ordinance 2004-16 which adds Chapter 418-14 to the County Code. This ordinance requires owners of all construction or demolition projects that are 5,000 square feet in size or greater to demonstrate that at least 50% of the construction and demolition debris generated on the jobsite are reused, recycled or otherwise diverted (unless a diversion adjustment is granted).
