AC5 is excited to be working with veterans in Contra Costa County and offering a series of FREE self-portrait painting classes as a way of saying "Thank you for your service." 

Workshop will begin again Spring 2017


WHO: Any interested Veteran in Contra Costa County. No painting experience necessary. This is a chance for self-expression. Nothing is being sold. There is no registration fee nor material fee for Veterans who live in Contra Costa.

WHAT: An in-depth acrylic self-portrait painting class. You will be asked to explore your experience as a veteran and tell your story of transitioning from military life through a self-portrait as an avenue of self-expression. Artist John Kleber and artist/Veteran Geoffrey Meredith will lead you through a series of painting exercises over two days that will result in a finished 16” x 20” self-portrait.

WHERE: All classes will take place in a working art studio in Martinez. ARTU4iA has over 5 years’ experience teaching painting to students of all ages and all levels of experience.
