Doing Business with the County
Purchasing Services is the place to start to identify business opportunities available for your business. We are open to responsible vendors who supply goods and services that are competitive, reliable, and meet the County's needs.
Rules governing purchasing and contract procedures were established under the concept of open competitive bidding. Under this system, awards are made to the lowest responsible bidder who meets the published specifications, possess the capability to deliver the requested product or service, and offers the best value to the County.
Vendors must register with Purchasing Services using the Purchasing Portal website. Completing registration provides us with your contact information, and the type of work conducted by your firm. It also identifies your eligibility for business opportunity programs. Instructions for completing registration can be found on the Vendor Registration & Maintenance page.
Purchasing Portal will also be used to notify you of opportunities to provide quotes, bids and Requests for Proposals. Currently the County uses BidSync.com to notify vendors of formal solicitations. Vendor registration is free and the County does not require vendors to pay any access or transaction fees.
