Schools are back in session! Kids are excited about the new school year and are busy catching up with friends. They may not always be aware of their surroundings as they walk, bicycle, or bus to school. The County is asking drivers to take special care while driving, especially in school zones. This is also a good time to sit down with your child and go over some road safety rules and tips. For some helpful tips for parents, caregivers, children, and drivers, the National Safety Council has provided three great resources: Back to School Checklist, Traveling to School, and Back to School Tips for Motorists. Tassajara Road/Camino Tassajara Road Closure
Beginning May 2, 2016, drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians will be unable to use Tassajara Road/Camino Tassajara to travel between Dublin and the San Ramon/Danville area, as a portion of the road will be closed in order to replace a failing culvert which runs under Tassajara Road just north of the Fallon Road intersection. This project, which will likely last until December, will provide greater safety for motorists, and reduce the likelihood of emergency road closures in the future.
